It’s so hard to find the words right now. As difficult as this is to say, my loving Mom passed away yesterday, with my brother and me by her side, holding her hands as she took her final breath. It was peaceful, and though our hearts are shattered, we take comfort in knowing she was surrounded by love until the very end.
Mom fought her illness with incredible courage and strength — she never gave up. Even on her hardest days, she smiled, she loved, and she worried more about us than herself. That was just who she was — selfless, nurturing, and endlessly loving.
Mom loved her family and friends more than anything in the world. We always came first in her eyes, and she showed it in everything she did — through her kindness, her laughter, her hugs, and her quiet strength. She had this amazing ability to make anyone feel special, seen, and loved.
She touched the hearts of everyone who met her — and even in her final months, that light never dimmed. Seeing tears in the eyes of her nurses reminded me just how deeply she impacted others, even those who only knew her for a short time. That’s the kind of person Mom was — she left a mark everywhere she went.
While we’ll miss her every single day, I find peace in imagining her reunited with Dad — back in his arms, dancing together once more like they used to. That thought brings both tears and comfort to my heart.
We love you so much, Mom. Thank you for everything — for your love, your lessons, and your strength. You were our rock, our home, and our heart. Your memory will live on in everything we do.
