Laurence Poulin Saint-Georges Obituary – Laurence Poulin Death – CJE Beuce-Sud Worker Laurence Poulin Dies Accidentally on July 23

At the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus in Québec, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the young age of 27, passed away Mrs. Laurence Poulin, daughter of Mr. Yves Poulin and Mrs. Maryse Lachance.

Her unexpected and tragic passing has left an immense void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A resident of Saint-Georges, Laurence was known not only for her radiant personality but also for her deep compassion and commitment to others.

Laurence was more than a beloved daughter, sister, partner, and friend — she was a vibrant force of life. Described as a “true ray of sunshine,” Laurence brought light and warmth wherever she went.

With a natural intelligence, infectious laughter, and a heart full of kindness, she made everyone feel welcome and valued. Her smile could lift the spirits of anyone around her, and her zest for life was nothing short of inspiring.

These qualities, so innate in her, made her a treasured presence in both her personal and professional circles. Professionally, Laurence served as an immigration awareness and integration officer with the CJE Beauce-Sud for over three years.

In that role, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to supporting immigrants in the region, helping them feel at home and empowered as they navigated new beginnings.

Her colleagues remember her for her gentleness, authenticity, and unwavering commitment to building a more inclusive and compassionate community. Her death, which occurred suddenly and accidentally, has shaken not only her team but the larger community she worked so hard to support.

She is survived by her loving parents, Yves Poulin (with his partner Diane Duchesne) and Maryse Lachance (with her partner Gaétan Mathieu); her devoted partner, Marc-Antoine Paradis; her cherished sister, Élisabeth L. Nadeau; her dear maternal grandmother, Roselle Tanguay (widow of the late Normand Lachance); and her adored nephew and niece, Cédrick and Rosalie Lessard.

Laurence also leaves behind many grieving friends, uncles, aunts, cousins, and her extended family, including her in-laws, step-siblings, and her beloved “family” in Mexico, where she had spent meaningful time forging bonds of friendship and love.

The family will receive condolences at the Boréal salon of the Chaudière-Appalaches Memorial Park, 2455, 25th Street, Saint-Georges, on Friday, August 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial tribute will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, in the chapel of the same location, under the care of Roy & Giguère Inc. Funeral Home.

In honor of her lifelong love for animals, donations may be made on site to the Ami-Maux animal shelter, a cause close to Laurence’s heart. Through this gesture, her legacy of compassion may continue.

Though her time with us was far too brief, Laurence Poulin’s memory will live on through the lives she touched. Her warmth, her laughter, and her boundless love will never be forgotten.
