The mother of the lone gunman who killed two students and injured 17 others at the Annunciation Church and Catholic School in Minneapolis was an employee at the school, police said.
While the motives of Robin Westman, 23, remain unclear, police identified the suspect’s mother, Mary Grace Westman, as an employee at the Annunciation school, local KARE 11 reported, sourcing cops.

It’s unclear what position she held at the school, with the church previously touting her five years of service in a 2021 Facebook post before her supposed retirement.
Westman, who died at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was not previously known to law enforcement, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told reporters at a press conference.
