Authorities are investigating a tragic crash that claimed the life of 25-year-old Brittany McDuffie, who died Sunday after being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter.
The incident occurred early Friday morning, just before 5 a.m., on Creek Ridge Road between Riverside Drive and U.S. 29. Police say McDuffie was traveling eastbound on her scooter when she was hit from behind by a vehicle traveling in the same direction. She suffered catastrophic injuries and was transported for treatment but passed away two days later.
Officials confirmed that the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate, reviewing roadway conditions, visibility, and potential contributing factors.
