Las Vegas Woman, Randi Weldon, Dies Following South Las Vegas Crash

Authorities have confirmed the death of 47-year-old Randi Weldon, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash in south Las Vegas. Weldon passed away on Friday, three days after the incident that also injured two others, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on August 12 near the intersection of South Pecos Road and East Tropicana Avenue. Investigators reported that a vehicle traveling south on Pecos Road struck several pedestrians crossing against the traffic signal. The driver, 80-year-old Rafi Nersessian of Henderson, reportedly had a green light at the time of the crash and did not remain at the scene. He has since been arrested and faces three counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in injury.

Law enforcement stated that Weldon’s injuries were initially classified as life-threatening when she was transported to a local hospital.
