A heavy police presence converged on Twins Lake in Little Egg Harbor Township on Sunday following reports of a shooting that escalated into a barricade situation.
According to officials, the Little Egg Harbor Police Department and Fire Department responded to the scene, where a suspect reportedly barricaded themselves inside a residence. SWAT teams, a tactical unit, and K-9 officers were deployed as part of the ongoing response.
Authorities have shut down Twin Lakes Boulevard and advised residents to stay away from the area while operations are underway.
As of Sunday afternoon, police have not released details regarding possible injuries or the suspect’s condition. The identity of the individuals involved also remains unclear.
