One individual has lost their life, and another has been charged with murder following a shooting incident on Monday at a Dollar General store located in Forkland, Greene County.
The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Boris Moody from Forkland. Authorities discovered Moody at the store, where he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Jamal Lee, a 28-year-old resident of Demopolis, has been charged with murder and is currently held at the Greene County Jail; further charges are anticipated.
At the request of the Forkland Police Department, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation has assumed control of the investigation.
The investigation is still in progress. Upon its conclusion, the findings from the SBI will be submitted to the 17th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
