A man has died following a single-vehicle crash near Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista over the weekend.
Deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station and first responders were dispatched to S. Melrose Drive, between Shadowridge Drive and Longhorn Drive, just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, authorities found a heavily damaged vehicle with a man inside, who was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Preliminary reports indicate that the crash involved only one vehicle. Debris and broken concrete were scattered across the roadway, suggesting a violent impact.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators are handling the investigation to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Vista Sheriff’s Station at 760-940-4551.
