Carmel O’Hare (Nee Mc Cooey) of Cullyhana Passes Away Peacefully Surrounded by Family

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carmel O’Hare (Nee Mc Cooey), late of 4 Quarry Terrace, Cullyhana. Carmel passed away peacefully on Sunday, 24th August, at the home of her devoted daughter, Ciara, surrounded by the love and care of her family.

Her gentle presence, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carmel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe, and was the cherished daughter of the late Mary and Eugene Mc Cooey.

Her life was defined by her love for her family, and she was a guiding presence to those closest to her. She dedicated herself fully to nurturing and supporting her daughters, Ciara and Sinead, always prioritizing their happiness, growth, and well-being.

Her family remembers her as a woman of immense kindness and compassion, whose home was always a place of warmth and comfort. She shared countless joyful moments with her daughters, their families, and friends, offering both encouragement and gentle guidance through life’s challenges.

Her legacy of love, care, and resilience is reflected in the lives of those she touched so deeply. Carmel is survived and deeply mourned by her daughters, Ciara and Sinead, her devoted grandson Brenden, and Ciara’s partner, Paddy.

She is also remembered with love by her brothers Antony, Eugene, and Arthur, and her sisters Maeve, Collette, Majella, and Noeleen (deceased), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members from both the O’Hare and Mc Cooey families. In addition, Carmel’s warm and generous spirit extended to a wide circle of friends and relatives, all of whom hold cherished memories of her kindness and support.

Throughout her life, Carmel exemplified the qualities of love, patience, and generosity. She was a steadfast source of support and comfort to her family, always ready to offer guidance, encouragement, or simply a listening ear.

Her sense of humor, gentle demeanor, and thoughtful nature created an atmosphere of love and unity wherever she went. She will be remembered not only for her devotion to family but also for her ability to brighten the lives of everyone around her.

While Carmel’s passing leaves a profound sense of loss, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. Her life serves as a reminder of the enduring impact of love, family, and compassion.
