Mark R. Wallum Accident: Victim Identified in Fatal SR-395 Crash Near Pasco

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is investigating a deadly crash that occurred Sunday morning on State Route 395 near Pasco, leaving 76-year-old Mark R. Wallum dead and several others injured.

The collision happened about eight miles north of Pasco at the intersection with Crestloch. Troopers say a southbound vehicle attempted to turn left onto eastbound Crestloch and was struck by a northbound vehicle. The impact caused severe damage, leaving both vehicles totaled.

Wallum, a passenger in the southbound car, tragically died at the scene. Two other occupants in the same vehicle survived with injuries and were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, along with the northbound driver, who was also hurt. Authorities confirmed all individuals were wearing seatbelts, and impairment has been ruled out.

The WSP Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
