Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly crash that occurred early Saturday morning off Interstate 81. The Luzerne County Coroner’s Office confirmed the man killed as 26-year-old Adam Shaw of Plymouth.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on the exit ramp for I-81 at Highland Park Boulevard. Investigators say the vehicle struck a barrier, causing severe damage. Despite the efforts of emergency crews, Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not yet confirmed Shaw’s role in the vehicle or whether other occupants were injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by law enforcement and crash reconstruction specialists, with factors such as speed, road conditions, or possible impairment under review.
Shaw’s death has left his Plymouth community in mourning, as friends and family remember a young life cut tragically short. Authorities continue to investigate and urge witnesses to come forward with any information.
