The Anaheim police are currently conducting an investigation into the death of a homeless woman who was discovered bloodied and unconscious in a tent early on Tuesday morning.
At approximately 3 a.m., personnel from the Anaheim police and fire departments arrived at the 2100 block of West Crescent Avenue after the woman was found inside a tent located in a “large unoccupied field” on the north side of the street.
She was reported to be “unconscious and bleeding,” and was declared dead at the scene. The Anaheim police quickly concluded that her death was a homicide.
The victim has been identified as Jessica Elaine Crummel, 43, from Anaheim, and authorities indicate that she may have been residing in a tent at the time of her death.
