Maryland State Police have confirmed the identities of two victims tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Prince George’s County. The victims have been identified as 50-year-old Tara Gross of Camp Springs and 31-year-old Dandra Byrd of Riverdale.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene after their Mercedes-Benz E 300 was struck in a collision near Route 202 and St. Joseph’s Drive around 1 p.m. Gross was driving the vehicle with Byrd as her passenger.
Authorities say the crash was triggered when a Honda Accord, driven by 28-year-old Tierra Johnson of Upper Marlboro, was traveling north on Route 202. According to investigators, Johnson’s vehicle struck a curb divider, causing the car to become airborne.
