Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning in unincorporated Horry County.
According to the Horry County Police Department, officers responded around the 1300 block of Cedar Branch Road in the Loris area, where they discovered a person suffering from critical injuries from a gunshot wound. Officers and emergency personnel attempted CPR, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of family. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and no further details have been provided regarding a possible suspect or motive.
