The Forest Lake Police Department is mourning the sudden and unexpected death of Detective Josh Brown, who was found deceased on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Detective Brown had been a member of the department since October 28, 2017, serving with dedication both as a patrol officer and later as a detective. Known for his tenacity, professionalism, and commitment to the community, Brown earned the respect of colleagues and residents alike.
In a statement released Monday, the department expressed “heavy hearts” at the loss, describing Brown as a “beloved father, husband, brother, and teammate” whose absence will be deeply felt across the law enforcement community.
