Update: Silas Kruger has been identified as the shooter in today’s incident at Emory University campus and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention main campus.

Kruger was a native of Dalmeny, Saskatchewan, and a beloved son of Greg Kruger.

The suspect has been located dead from a self-inflicted injury. According to a source on the scene, a law enforcement agent is among the victims hurt in the incident.

The conditions of the victims are not known at this time. The lockdown has not been lifted

BREAKING: 5 Injured in Active Shooter Incident at Emory University CVS Atlanta, GA — At least five people have been injured in an active shooter situation at the CVS located at Emory Point near the Emory University campus and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention main campus.

An emergency alert from Emory University was issued around 4 p.m. Friday, warning of an “active shooter” at the Clifton Road location and urging people to “RUN, HIDE, FIGHT” and avoid the area.

Heavy police presence is on the scene, and the situation remains active.

Authorities are urging everyone nearby to stay sheltered and avoid Emory Point until further notice.
