Andrew J. Foulk, 39, of Ashville, NY, passed away unexpectedly due to medical complications at his home on August 6, 2025. Though Andrew lived a private life, those who knew him best will remember him as a deeply thoughtful and quietly strong individual whose presence was a comfort to those around him. Born and raised in the Jamestown area, Andrew built a life rooted in hard work, simple pleasures, and a devotion to those he loved.
Andrew was a man who found peace in solitude and fulfillment in hands-on projects. He had a remarkable talent for tinkering—whether repairing old tools, building something new from scratch, or simply losing himself in the thoughtful mechanics of his shop. His workspace was a reflection of his personality: organized, quiet, and filled with items that spoke to a man who enjoyed learning by doing. It was in this space that Andrew spent some of his most meaningful hours, immersed in problem-solving and craftsmanship.
While he may not have sought out the spotlight, Andrew formed deep and lasting friendships with those in his inner circle. His close friends describe him as loyal, sincere, and honest—qualities that defined his character and earned their enduring respect. To honor Andrew’s life, a memorial celebration will be held on his birthday, September 3, at Panama Methodist Church. The service is meant to be a celebration rather than a formal ceremony—an opportunity for those who knew him to gather, share stories, and remember a life that was quiet but meaningful. The family invites all who knew Andrew to come together in remembrance and to celebrate the person he was through laughter, memories, and reflection.
In keeping with Andrew’s wishes and values, the family kindly asks that no flowers be sent. Instead, they suggest memorial contributions be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, a cause that reflects Andrew’s gentle heart and deep compassion for animals. His quiet affection for the voiceless was yet another testament to the kind of person he was—someone who cared deeply, even if he didn’t often say so out loud.
