Detectives from the Homicide Squad are looking into the details of a woman’s death in Coleraine this morning.
Police were summoned to a residence on Pilleau Street after receiving reports of a woman who had been stabbed around 1:10 a.m. Officers who responded discovered the wounded woman, who had passed away at the location.
A man familiar to the woman has been taken into custody. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are en route to the location. Detectives will interview the Coleraine man regarding the woman’s death.
