Community Mourns Corey Hurst, 41, After Fatal Crash in Warren

The Warren community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Corey Hurst, 41, who tragically passed away Tuesday night following a car crash near the intersection of Pine Avenue and Burton Street.

Corey was more than just a name in a news story—he was a beloved son, friend, and neighbor. Known for his warmth, laughter, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met, Corey’s absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Corey lost control while attempting a turn and struck a utility pole. He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he did not survive.

Emergency personnel from Howland Township and Warren City responded to the scene, doing all they could in the moments that followed.

As friends, family, and neighbors try to come to terms with this sudden loss, we remember Corey not for how he left us, but for how he lived—with heart, with strength, and with love.

May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in eternal peace.
